Binding Financial Agreement (BFA)
A private written agreement between partners about how property and finances will be divided, which can be made before, during or after a relationship. It is often called a prenup when made before. To be binding, each party must have independent legal advice and the agreement must meet strict statutory requirements, and it can be set aside if those are not met.
