Credit Representative

A person or business authorised to engage in credit activities under someone else's Australian Credit Licence, rather than holding their own. Most mortgage brokers operate this way, appointed as a credit representative of their aggregator. The authorisation is recorded on ASIC's register and carries the same consumer protections.
