Land Tax

An annual state or territory tax on the unimproved value of land you own above a threshold, generally excluding your principal place of residence. Thresholds, rates and surcharges for foreign owners differ in every state and change regularly, and holdings are aggregated within a state. Check your own state revenue office for current figures.
