Novated Lease

A three way arrangement between an employee, their employer and a financier, where the employer takes on the lease payments and deducts them from the employee's salary, usually partly pre-tax. It is a salary packaging arrangement rather than business finance. If you change jobs the obligation generally reverts to you, so check the exit terms before signing.
