Secured Loan
A loan backed by an asset the lender can take and sell if you do not repay, such as property, a vehicle or equipment. Because the lender's risk is lower, secured loans carry lower rates, larger limits and longer terms than unsecured ones. The trade-off is that the asset is genuinely at risk.
